Scope of Work

Role Overview:

You will be responsible for architecting, designing, and deploying VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) (and other related technologies) virtualization solutions for enterprise customers. This role involves engaging closely with stakeholders to assess their infrastructure needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring successful implementation and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities:

Needs Analysis &Requirements Gathering:

•                    Lead workshops with customers to assess current infrastructure, business objectives, and technical requirements.

•                    Perform in-depth needs analysis to identify critical areas for virtualization.

•                    Document and prioritize customer requirements to align with VMware solution capabilities.

Solution Architecture &Design:

•                    Design robust VMware-based architectures that meet the customer’s performance, scalability, and security requirements.

•                    Develop technical design documents and architecture blueprints.

•                    Collaborate with the customer and internal teams to validate designs.

Project Collaboration &Coordination: 

•                    Work closely with Project Managers to create project timelines, resource plans, and deliverables.

•                    Collaborate with other consultants, developers, and engineers to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.

•                    Serve as the technical lead, overseeing solution implementation and troubleshooting.

Technical Implementation &Delivery:

•                    Drive the deployment and configuration of the VMware virtualization solution stack, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSphere, vSAN, and NSX.

•                    Ensure all customer requirements are met throughout the implementation phase.

•                    Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the virtual environment as needed.

Customer Engagement &Expectation Management:

•                    Maintain ongoing communication with customers to ensure their expectations are managed and project goals are met.

•                    Proactively identify potential challenges and offer solutions to mitigate risks.

Knowledge Transfer &Training:

•                    Develop and conduct hands-on knowledge transfer workshops for customer teams, ensuring they are proficient in managing and maintaining their VMware environment.

•                    Provide detailed documentation and operational guidelines to the customer’s IT team.

Continuous Improvement &Innovation:

•                    Stay up-to-date on VMware products, features, and industry trends.

•                    Propose and implement innovative solutions that drive value for customers.

Certification:

• VMware VCP and VCAP certification in VMware VCF
