Managing overall recruitment and onboarding process, including job publishing, sourcing, screening, selection, organizing the career fair or recruitment activities, onboarding process for new hires and/or new position to ensure a smooth and positive experience.
Be a strategic partner to the business leader (hiring manager) and the people leader (HR director or HRBP).
Advise and train hiring managers on role definition, ideal candidate profiles, and job briefings, particularly for strategic, complex, or newly created roles.
Co-create and implement local recruitment and employer branding strategies with the TA Manager (HR Director in absence of the TA manager) in alignment with global TA guidelines.
Guide leaders on compensation benchmarks, assessment approaches, and sourcing strategies, especially for hard-to-fill roles.
Support the local activation of global TA strategies and tools, and adapt processes when legal, market, or volume-specific contexts require it.
Ensure DE&I principles are embedded from the start, including inclusive role design, accessible sourcing strategies, and unbiased assessment planning.
Manage the recruitment lifecycle and hiring readiness. Including ensuring all recruitment activities are inclusive, fair, and consistent with Decathlon’s values, DE&I commitments, and hiring principles.
Coordinate structured interviews and assessments using validated, objective evaluation methods.
Lead or contribute to offer preparation and onboarding coordination as needed.
Support early-career talent initiatives and school relations in the absence of a campus lead.
Maintain and activate talent pools for recurring or strategic roles to ensure future readiness.
Monitor sourcing effectiveness and proactively identify actions to close talent gaps.
Expatriate onboarding including the employment pass application and onboarding procedure.
Additional Human Resource & Administration
HR Administration: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR systems. Assist with HR-related administrative tasks, such as processing paperwork, generating reports, and managing HR-related documentation
Employee Engagement: Participate in initiatives to foster a positive and engaging work environment. Support employee engagement surveys and action planning.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Assist in resolving employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner, escalating complex matters as needed
HR Policies & Procedures: Be part of the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations
Employee Development Initiatives: Support the implementation of employee development programs, such as IM, mentoring, career pathing, and performance management related development plans.
Add hoc. Dealing with any ad hoc duties
Must maintain a direct connection to all the employees of the company and make sure employee relations remain healthy and that a constructive and positive work environment is nurtured throughout the company
Minimum Diploma in HR with 3 years' experience or Degree in HR with at least 2 years of working experience.
Strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
Strong background in talent acquisition management
Familiarity with Malaysia Employment Act 1955 and Malaysia regulations.
Working knowledge of employment law, HR Functions and HR best practices.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of computer applications and HRIS/software
Exceptional Interpersonal skills
Highly organized, meticulous and can work under pressure.
