It manages building facilities, engineering systems and support services to ensure smooth daily operations. The team works closely with owners, tenants and service providers to sustain high standards of customer experience. Joining the corporation offers exposure to facility management and engineering functions within a busy commercial building.

Role Description

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all mechanical and electrical systems within the mall, including HVAC, electrical distribution, lifts, escalators, and fire protection systems.
  • To plan and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities, coordinating with contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely, on time and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • To prepare technical reports, maintenance records and updates for management and support budgeting and cost-control for M&E-related works.
  • To respond to operational issues, supporting improvement and upgrading projects including collaborating with other departments to maintain a high standard of building performance and visitor comfort.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, lifts, escalators and fire safety equipment.
  • Experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or property management within commercial or retail environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals, and engineering documentation.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, safety regulations and statutory requirements related to M&E systems.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software, MS Office, and basic reporting tools.
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults, recommend solutions, and coordinate rectification work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with tenants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering, Facilities Management or a related technical field.
  • Relevant professional certifications in M&E, facility management, or safety (e.g., Energy Manager, BO Chargeman/Engineer, safety training) are an advantage.
