Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead product technical ownership from RFQ/NPI stage until production handover, ensuring customer requirements, specifications, BOM, drawings, and revision controls are accurately translated into manufacturing execution.
- Review customer drawings, 3D models, specifications, and assembly requirements to identify technical risks, manufacturability concerns, tolerance stack-up issues, and material compatibility during quote and NPI stages.
- Coordinate and drive print & process review activities including print review, BOM validation, material selection, routing definition, clarification tracking, and technical alignment between customer, engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
- Prepare and manage customer technical clarification documents such as PR/SPS/ECO/ECN responses, deviation requests, design comparison reports, and technical presentation packages.
- Support product structure management including BOM creation, revision updates, component substitutions, material PN mapping, and ERP/MOM data accuracy maintenance.
- Work closely with Process Engineering and Manufacturing teams to ensure product design intent, critical dimensions, assembly requirements, cleanliness requirements, and customer specifications are achievable and sustainable for production.
- Lead root cause analysis and technical troubleshooting for product-related quality issues, dimensional mismatches, assembly concerns, cosmetic defects, and customer complaints during NPI and HVM stages.
- Coordinate qualification activities including FAI support, fit/function validation, material verification, design validation, golden unit side by side reviews, and engineering change implementation.
- Ensure all product-related documentation including drawings, OMS, work instructions, assembly references, labeling requirements, and technical records are updated, controlled, and released according to company procedures.
- Act as the primary technical focal point for customer product inquiries, revision changes, material clarifications, and cross-functional communication to ensure timely resolution and successful project execution.
Qualifications:
- Strong capability in engineering drawing interpretation, BOM review, and technical specification analysis.
- Good problem-solving and cross-functional coordination skills for NPI, manufacturing, and customer technical issues.
- Proficient in CAD software (SolidWorks/AutoCAD), engineering documentation, ERP/MOM systems, and Microsoft Office tools for technical reporting and project tracking.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Candidates with more than 5 years of relevant experience in assembly, manufacturing, semiconductor, precision engineering, or plastic fabrication environments will have added advantage.
