Our client is a leading global insurance organization with a significant presence across Asia. As part of its continued focus on strengthening Application Security capabilities, the organization is seeking an experienced Application Security Program Manager to drive a key AppSec initiative and work closely with senior technology and cybersecurity stakeholders.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cybersecurity professional who combines strong hands-on Application Security knowledge with proven program / project delivery capability. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving Application Security initiatives, coordinating across technology and security teams, and ensuring effective execution of security improvements across the application lifecycle.

This role initially starts as a 12 month contract position, with a view to extend or convert into a permanent position.

As an Application Security Program Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

• Drive and coordinate Application Security initiatives across relevant technology, cybersecurity and business stakeholders.

• Manage end-to-end program delivery, including scope, priorities, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues and deliverables.

• Apply hands-on Application Security knowledge to effectively engage with technical teams and drive security requirements and remediation activities.

• Support the implementation and enhancement of Application Security practices across the software development lifecycle.

• Coordinate Application Security assessments, vulnerability identification, remediation and related security improvement activities.

• Work closely with application development, engineering, cybersecurity, technology risk and other relevant teams to drive effective delivery.

• Monitor program progress, identify delivery risks and dependencies, and drive issues through to resolution.

• Provide clear program reporting and updates to senior stakeholders.

• Support the continued enhancement of Application Security governance, processes and controls.

• Ensure initiatives are delivered in alignment with the organization's broader cybersecurity, technology risk and governance requirements.

To be considered for the role of Application Security Program Manager, you should possess the following:

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline.

• Strong hands-on experience in Application Security, combined with solid program / project management experience.

• Good understanding of Application Security practices across the software development lifecycle.

• Practical exposure to areas such as Secure SDLC, DevSecOps, vulnerability management, security testing, penetration testing and security remediation.

• Ability to engage credibly with application development, engineering and cybersecurity teams on technical security matters.

• Proven experience managing complex technology or cybersecurity initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and dependencies.

• Strong governance, risk / issue management, stakeholder management and senior-level reporting capabilities.

• Experience within insurance, banking or broader financial services would be highly advantageous.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.

• Professional certifications in cybersecurity, information security or project management would be advantageous.

• Candidates who are available at short notice would have an added advantage.
