Role Description The Senior Mechanical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Simpang Empat. This role is responsible for leading the mechanical design and development of automated manufacturing machinery, including concept creation, detailed design, and validation of mechanical systems. Day-to-day activities include preparing CAD models and engineering drawings, conducting design reviews, performing feasibility studies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure systems meet performance, safety, and compliance requirements. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee R&D initiatives, support process improvements, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline. The role also involves troubleshooting mechanical issues on production floors, optimizing existing equipment, and contributing to continuous innovation in automation solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to automated machinery and manufacturing systems.
• Proficiency in Machine Design, including mechanisms, materials selection, and structural analysis for high-precision automation equipment.
• Advanced skills in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailed drawings, and design documentation.
• Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
• Background in Research and Development (R&D), with experience in prototyping, testing, and implementing new mechanical solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in automation or machinery for industries such as Automotive, Medical, Semiconductor, or related sectors is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret industry standards and production specifications, and ensure compliance in design and implementation.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal, and the ability to present technical concepts clearly.
