Role Description The Java Technical Lead is a full-time, hybrid role based in Greater Kuala Lumpur, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role leads the design, development, and delivery of enterprise Java applications, ensuring robust architecture, performance, and maintainability. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding a development team, reviewing code, defining technical standards, and implementing best practices for Jakarta EE, microservices, and related technologies. The Java Technical Lead collaborates with product owners, architects, and QA to translate business requirements into technical solutions, manage technical risks, and support continuous integration and deployment. • Strong Software Development and Programming skills in Java, with experience leading technical teams or projects.
• Hands-on expertise with Jakarta EE and related Java frameworks for building scalable enterprise applications.
• Experience designing and implementing Microservices architectures, including RESTful APIs and integration patterns.
• Solid understanding of Design Patterns and software engineering best practices for maintainable, testable code.
• Proficiency with modern development tools and practices (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines, unit and integration testing).
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven mentorship and leadership capabilities, with a focus on collaboration, quality, and continuous improvement.
