Job Summary:
The Accounts Assistant will provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support to the Accounts Executive to ensure smooth and efficient financial operations.
1. Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices and ensure they are supported by the necessary documentation.
- Verify invoices against purchase orders, quotations, and delivery orders where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier invoices and payment schedules.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare customer invoices and ensure timely issuance.
- Monitor incoming customer payments and update accounting records.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and prepare ageing reports when required.
- Assist in resolving billing discrepancies with customers.
Accounting & Financial Support
- Perform accurate data entry into the accounting system.
- Maintain proper filing and organization of accounting records and supporting documents.
- Assist in preparing monthly accounting schedules and reconciliations.
- Assist with bank reconciliations and verify banking transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and management reports as required.
Audit & Compliance
- Prepare supporting documents required for internal and external audits.
- Ensure finance documents are filed in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
- Support the Finance Department in implementing and improving accounting processes.
- Provide administrative support to the Finance Department as required.
General Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Assist in any ad hoc accounting, finance, or administrative duties assigned by the Accounts Executive or Management.
2. Requirements & Qualifications:
Key Responsibilities:
· Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
· Minimum 1–2 years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
· Familiarity with accounting software is an advantage.
