JOB DESCRIPTION:-
Project Supervision
- Supervise all electrical installation works on site.
- Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
- Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, and compliance with project quality standards.
- Verify that materials and equipment meet project specifications before installation.
Technical Coordination
- Review electrical shop drawings, method statements, material submissions, and technical proposals.
- Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, mechanical engineers, and other consultants.
- Resolve technical issues arising during construction.
- Attend site coordination meetings and technical discussions.
Quality Control
- Conduct inspections and testing of electrical systems.
- Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysian Standards (MS), Suruhanjaya Tenaga regulations, and project specifications.
- Monitor defect rectification during construction and Defects Liability Period (DLP).
Progress Monitoring
- Monitor construction progress against the approved project schedule.
- Identify delays and recommend corrective actions.
- Review contractor work progress and monthly reports.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling.
Documentation
- Prepare site inspection reports and progress reports.
- Maintain site records, inspection requests, NCRs, RFIs, and testing records.
- Review as-built drawings before project completion.
- Verify payment claims related to electrical works.
Testing & Commissioning
- Supervise testing and commissioning of:
- LV electrical systems
- Power distribution systems
- Switchboards
- Transformers
- Generators
- UPS systems
- ELV systems
- Fire alarm systems
- Lighting systems
- Earthing & lightning protection
- Ensure all systems are fully operational before handover.
JOB REQUIREMENT:-
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Professional Qualification
- Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (Graduate Engineer or Professional Engineer preferred).
- Registration with Suruhanjaya Tenaga is an added advantage for certain projects.
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in electrical engineering within construction projects.
- Experience in hospitals, commercial buildings, high-rise developments, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
- Experience in testing & commissioning is an advantage.
