Job Purpose
To support the Stakeholder Relations Department (Government Engagement) in the planning, coordination, and execution of stakeholder engagement initiatives by providing administrative, operational, and event support. The interns will assist in ensuring the smooth implementation of departmental programmes, maintaining stakeholder communications and records, and contributing to the timely delivery of ongoing projects and activities.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting stakeholder engagement programmes, meetings, and events.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing correspondence, reports, presentations, meeting minutes, and other departmental documents.
- Maintain and update stakeholder databases, contact lists, and filing systems to ensure accurate records.
- Assist in coordinating logistics for meetings, workshops, events, and official visits.
- Support communication and follow-up with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing briefing materials, event documentation, and post-event reports.
- Monitor and track departmental activities, action items, and project timelines.
- Conduct basic research and compile information to support departmental initiatives and decision-making.
- Provide general operational support to ensure the smooth execution of ongoing projects and daily departmental activities.
- Perform any other duties or assignments as directed by the Head of Department or immediate supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor in (Public Relations/Corporate Communication/Mass Communication/Business Administration/Marketing/Event Management/Human Resource Management/Political Science/Social Sciences)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Good interpersonal and teamwork skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proactive, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Previous involvement in student organisations, volunteer programmes, or event management is an added advantage.
