Security Engineer (Data Centre, JOHOR)

Job Description Summary

Job Description

• Conduct routine security site walks across Data Halls, Storage Rooms, and Office Spaces to validate:

  • Door and badge reader functionality

  • Security device status (e.g., cameras, sensors)

• Identify and report:

  • Security incidents

  • Safety hazards

  • Hardware anomalies or malfunctions

• Bring in vendors during projects such as:

  • Camera or badge reader installs

  • Physical security retrofits

• Support critical security events (e.g., destruction events, media anomalies) as directed

• Maintain accurate daily status reports

• Attend regular team meetings and briefings

• Comply with PPE requirements and non-disclosure agreements

• Participate in access control onboarding and provide presence in leased spaces

Requirements:

• Diploma holder

• 2 years of relevant on-site working experience

• Familiarity with Data Centre operations or COLO environments

• Clear, accurate report writing and data entry skills

• Ability to work flexible shifts and travel between sites as needed

• Strong situational awareness and adherence to safety/security protocols
