Assistant Store Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and results-driven Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our Sukiyaki restaurant. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth restaurant operations, deliver excellent customer service, lead the team, and achieve sales and operational targets while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in managing the overall daily restaurant operations.
• Supervise and lead front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
• Ensure excellent customer service and resolve customer feedback or complaints professionally.
• Monitor daily sales performance and support initiatives to achieve sales targets.
• Ensure food quality, cleanliness, hygiene, and service standards are consistently maintained.
• Prepare staff duty rosters and manage manpower efficiently.
• Monitor inventory levels, stock ordering, receiving, and stock control.
• Conduct daily opening and closing operational checks.
• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, food safety regulations, and health & safety requirements.
• Coach, train, and motivate team members to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and evaluating restaurant staff.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Support marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Store Manager or Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, Food & Beverage, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or assistant management experience in the F&B industry.
• Experience in Japanese restaurants or buffet concepts is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management, and labour scheduling.
• Familiar with POS systems and basic Microsoft Office applications.
• Able to work on weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.
• Positive attitude, responsible, and customer-focused.
