Select and dress grinding wheels appropriately based on material type and required finish.
Adjust feed rate, wheel speed, and depth of cut to avoid overheating, burning, or surface defects on workpieces.
Perform in-process inspection using micrometers, surface roughness gauges, and other precision instruments to verify finish and tolerance compliance.
Monitor coolant flow and wheel condition throughout the grinding process to maintain consistent quality.
Report machine malfunctions, abnormal vibration, or wheel damage to your direct superior immediately.
Perform routine machine maintenance and housekeeping, including wheel balancing checks and coolant system upkeep.
Review drawings and work instructions to understand surface finish and tolerance requirements before starting a job.
Support the company's On-Time Delivery targets through efficient setup and consistent output.
Requirements:
SKM, ILP, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or a related qualification.
