We are currently looking for an experienced Client Onboarding professional to support end-to-end onboarding activities within a banking and financial services environment. This role requires strong experience in client documentation, KYC/CDD processes, stakeholder coordination, regulatory requirements, and onboarding operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end client onboarding process from initiation through account activation.
- Review and validate client documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal requirements.
- Perform and support Know Your Customer (KYC), Customer Due Diligence (CDD), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) activities where applicable.
- Review client information, ownership structures, beneficial ownership details, and supporting corporate documentation.
- Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain outstanding information and resolve documentation gaps.
- Support sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and other compliance screening requirements as part of the onboarding process.
- Identify potential onboarding risks and escalate complex or high-risk cases to relevant Compliance or Financial Crime teams.
- Work closely with Relationship Managers, Compliance, Operations, Legal, Risk, and other internal stakeholders to facilitate timely onboarding.
- Track onboarding cases and ensure completion within agreed SLAs and turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate client records, onboarding documentation, case notes, and audit trails.
- Support periodic reviews, remediation exercises, client data updates, and lifecycle management activities where required.
- Ensure onboarding activities comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational risk controls.
- Participate in process improvement, system enhancements, UAT, migration, and onboarding transformation projects where applicable.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Client Onboarding, KYC, CDD, AML, Client Lifecycle Management, or banking operations.
- Strong understanding of KYC/AML requirements, CDD/EDD, sanctions screening, PEP screening, and client risk assessment.
- Experience reviewing documentation for corporate, institutional, or non-individual clients is highly advantageous.
- Good understanding of corporate structures, UBO/beneficial ownership, and client documentation requirements.
- Experience working within banking, financial services, transaction banking, capital markets, or similar regulated environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple internal teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing client information and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple onboarding cases while meeting SLA and quality requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with onboarding/KYC systems, workflow tools, or case management platforms would be advantageous.
