We are currently looking for an experienced ETD Operations professional to support Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) within a Financial Markets Operations environment. The role will focus on trade lifecycle management, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, exception management, and operational controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end operational processing of Exchange-Traded Derivatives (ETD) transactions.
• Support the trade lifecycle for futures and options across relevant exchanges and clearing houses.
• Review and validate trade bookings to ensure transaction details are complete and accurate.
• Monitor trade matching, clearing, settlement, and post-trade activities within required deadlines.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, unmatched transactions, settlement discrepancies, and operational exceptions.
• Perform daily reconciliation of trades, positions, cash movements, fees, and related balances.
• Coordinate with clearing brokers, exchanges, counterparties, custodians, and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues.
• Monitor clearing and settlement activities and ensure transactions are processed within established SLAs and market cut-off times.
• Support expiry, exercise, assignment, and other lifecycle events associated with futures and options.
• Work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Settlements, Reconciliation, Margin Operations, Risk, and Technology teams.
• Identify and escalate aged or high-risk operational breaks in accordance with established escalation procedures.
• Maintain accurate operational records, supporting documentation, and audit trails.
• Ensure adherence to internal risk controls, SOPs, regulatory requirements, and governance standards.
• Support operational reporting, including outstanding breaks, settlement status, exceptions, and key risk indicators.
• Participate in system enhancements, automation initiatives, process improvements, migrations, and UAT/testing where required.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in ETD Operations, Derivatives Operations, Futures & Options Operations, Clearing Operations, or Financial Markets Operations.
• Strong understanding of Exchange-Traded Derivatives, particularly futures and options.
• Good understanding of the ETD trade lifecycle, including trade capture, matching, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, expiry, exercise, and assignment.
• Hands-on experience in trade processing, exception management, reconciliation, and break resolution.
• Knowledge of clearing houses, exchanges, clearing brokers, and post-trade processes.
• Understanding of margin, collateral, settlement, and operational risk controls within derivatives operations would be advantageous.
• Experience working with Front Office, Middle Office, Risk, Technology, and other Operations teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage high transaction volumes and work effectively within strict market deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ETD, clearing, derivatives, or financial markets processing systems would be advantageous.
