Job Description – QA Operator
Industry: Performance Lighting Design & Manufacturing
Location: Lot 2889, Lebuh Kampung Jawa, FIZ Phase 3, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia
Employment: Permanent Position
Reporting To: QA Supervisor / QA Executive / QA Manager
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products.
- Conduct visual inspection of PCBAs, electronic components, and assembled products according to inspection standards and work instructions.
- Perform quality inspections at IQC, IPQC, and FQA/OQA stages to ensure compliance with customer specifications and Company quality standards.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming materials or products in accordance with Company procedures.
- Verify product quality through functional checks and inspection requirements before release to the next production process or shipment.
- Record inspection results accurately and maintain quality inspection reports and related documentation.
- Support investigation of quality issues by providing inspection findings and defect information.
- Work closely with Production, Engineering, and QA teams to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring instruments are used and maintained properly.
- Follow inspection procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), IPC standards, and ESD control requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with 5S and Company safety policies.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to reduce defects and improve product quality.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior or Management.
Requirements
- SPM, Certificate, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in Quality Inspection or Electronics Manufacturing is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with relevant technical knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of electronic components, PCBA, and manufacturing processes.
- Able to read and understand work instructions, drawings, and inspection standards.
- Familiar with quality inspection methods and basic measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of ESD control procedures.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Pay: RM1,900.00 - RM3,200.00 per month
