1. Role Positioning
GaiaWorks is looking for a Commercial Development Manager to drive new business development in the Hong Kong market, with a primary focus on acquiring new enterprise customers, building partner ecosystems, and establishing GaiaWorks as a recognized workforce management solution provider in Hong Kong.
You will act as the primary commercial driver for Hong Kong market penetration, working closely with China sales leadership, solution consulting, delivery, and executive teams to convert market opportunities into signed contracts and establish repeatable sales motions in Hong Kong.
2. Key Responsibilities
Drive business development activities for target accounts in the Hong Kong market, with a primary focus on Hong Kong-headquartered enterprises and multinational companies with decision-making authority in Hong Kong.
Proactively identify and engage key stakeholders within target accounts to secure qualified meetings and advance commercial opportunities.
Develop and maintain local partner relationships, including SAP ecosystem partners, HR technology partners, and potential referral channels.
Support executive visits by preparing account briefings, defining visit objectives, following up after meetings, and capturing customer insights.
Work closely with sales, solution consulting, marketing, and delivery teams to clarify customer needs, communicate solutions, support proposal development, and close contracts.
Capture and share market intelligence on customer pain points, competitive dynamics, and emerging opportunities that help refine our Hong Kong go-to-market approach.
Be accountable for new customer wins, new ARR contribution, pipeline quality, and key commercial activity metrics.
3. What We Are Looking For
Experience in B2B business development, enterprise sales, or partner development in Hong Kong.
Strong understanding of business communication with Hong Kong enterprise customers, with the ability to initiate outreach, secure meetings, and advance relationships independently.
Strong learning agility and ability to quickly grasp the business value of enterprise software solutions, with prior exposure to HCM, HR SaaS, or workforce management solutions preferred but not required.
Professional business communication skills in English and Cantonese, Business-level Mandarin communication is required for internal coordination.
Ability to work across regional teams and coordinate resources from sales, marketing, solution consulting, delivery, and senior executives.
Highly result-oriented with strong deal-closing capability, while maintaining discipline in tracking pipeline progress and sharing market insights.
Prior experience in SAP ecosystem, HCM, HR SaaS, enterprise software, consulting services, or large enterprise account sales is preferred.
