Vibe Coding Tutor (Part-Time)

About the Role

IT STEP Academy is looking for a passionate and innovative Vibe Coding Tutor to teach the next generation of developers how to build software using modern AI-powered development workflows.

As a Vibe Coding Tutor, you will guide students in creating real-world applications using AI coding assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor AI, Windsurf, *************, Lovable, Replit AI, and other no-code/low-code platforms. Instead of focusing only on traditional programming syntax, you'll teach students how to transform ideas into working applications using effective prompting, software architecture, debugging, and AI-assisted development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom sessions on AI-assisted software development and Vibe Coding.
• Teach students how to build websites, mobile apps, dashboards, automations, and MVPs using modern AI development tools.
• Guide students through hands-on projects from idea validation to deployment.
• Teach prompt engineering, software planning, debugging, testing, and optimization.
• Help students understand programming concepts including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, APIs, databases, and Git using AI-assisted workflows.
• Support students individually and in groups with project development and technical challenges.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, coding exercises, and project evaluations.
• Track student attendance, progress, and performance.
• Maintain a motivating, collaborative, and project-based learning environment.
• Continuously explore new AI tools and recommend improvements to the curriculum.
• Collaborate with other instructors and academic staff to improve learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong understanding of modern software development principles.
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, C#, Java, or similar.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants including ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, Replit AI, *************, Lovable, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Vue) is an advantage.
• Understanding of APIs, databases, Git, and cloud deployment is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Passion for teaching, mentoring, and helping students succeed.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to beginners.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Willingness to work evenings or weekends based on class schedules.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience.
• Experience building AI-powered applications or SaaS products.
• Experience with prompt engineering and AI workflow automation.
• Portfolio or GitHub showcasing personal or professional projects.
• Knowledge of Agile development and software product lifecycle.
