Responsibilities:
- Shipment tracking: Monitor daily deliveries, freight carriers, and transport routes.
- Inventory control: Update stock levels, manage warehouse records, and fix count errors.
- Paperwork management: Prepare bills of lading, customs forms, and packinglists.
- Communication: Talk with vendors, drivers, and customers to solve delays.
Authorities:
- Vendor & Driver Direction: Assign daily tasks, instruct drivers, and schedule haulage pickups or deliveries with external carriers.
- Documentation Sign-Off: Verify and approve bills of lading, delivery orders, and customs filing details.
- Exception Handling: Reroute shipments or hold cargo when discrepancies or delays occur.
- Budget Spending: Rarely authorized to sign high-value contracts or override strict freight rate caps without manager approval.
- Policy Changes: Cannot change company supply chain policies, vendor contract terms, or major operational frameworks.
- Escalation Trigger: Must escalate severe budget overruns, legal compliance failures, or major carrier disputes to a logistics supervisor or manager.
Academic Qualification: Diploma or a degree in business, logistics, or supply chain.
Skills & Experience:
- Good problem-solving, clear communication, and strong organization.
- Knowledge of inventory systems and enterprise software like SAP or ERP tools.
Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
