Primary Objective(s) of Position

•      Oversee the daily operations of airfreight services, ensuring timely and accurate processing of air cargo shipments.
•       Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, and ground handling agents to secure space, negotiate rates, and ensure smooth transit

Duties & Responsibilities

• Notify customer on cargo arrival, declaration of custom permit and notify transporter for delivery
•      Follow standard and established compliance-related administrative activities
•      Evaluate customer needs to improvefreight operations processes
•       Maintain relationships with vendors, carriers and co-loaders to provide competitive shipping solutions to customers
•       Lead inspection of cargo or material-handling security procedures
•      Follow standard and established compliance-related administrative activities
•       Ability to negotiate contract rates and manage relationships with airlines and service providers to optimize service levels
•      Manage client relationships, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
•       Monitor and control airfreight costs, negotiate with carriers and service providers to obtain the best rates
•       Work closely with other departments such as sales, customer service, and logistics to ensure a cohesive approach to airfreight operations
•      Commit to and adhere to the HPL Occupational Health & Safety Management System
•      Commit to and comply with the HPL Quality Management System
•      Undertake any additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Person Specifications

•       Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
•       Minimum 3years’ experience in airfreight operations or a similar role within the logistics industry
•      Strong knowledge of air cargo operations, regulations, and industry best practices
•      Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
•       Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office
•      Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
•       Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
•       Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
•        Adaptability to changing environments and regulations
