Role Description The Internship - Reservation role is an on-site position based at Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. The intern will assist with handling reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online channels, ensuring accurate and timely bookings for individual and group guests. Day-to-day tasks include updating reservation systems, verifying guest details, supporting rate and availability checks, and coordinating with front office and sales teams to optimize occupancy. The intern will help provide courteous and professional customer service, manage guest requests and changes, and support the reservation team in preparing reports and maintaining records. This internship offers exposure to hotel operations, reservation standards, and brand guidelines within a leading international hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Foundational knowledge or interest in reservations and hotel booking processes.
• Strong communication skills, including clear verbal and written interaction with guests and colleagues.
• Customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences and resolving inquiries professionally.
• Willingness to learn and participate in training related to reservation systems, brand standards, and hospitality best practices.
• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a hospitality, tourism, business, or related program is preferred.
• Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and comfort working with hotel management systems; fluency in English required, additional languages are an advantage.
