Job Summary

The Prod. & Engr. Manager is to ensure efficient manufacturing, quality products, on-time delivery, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Management

• Lead and manage an engineering team in product development, testing, and process improvement.
• Oversee the design, validation, and implementation of engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with R&D on new product introduction (NPI) and design improvements.

2. Production Management

• Plan, organize, and control production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
• Monitor production schedules, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
• Perform the assembly of electronic components, PCB boards, and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings, the BOM and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and safety regulations.

3. Technical & Site Support

• Perform on-site testing, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of electronic systems, equipment, and test solutions.
• Diagnose complex hardware, circuit, and system-level failures and provide effective corrective actions.
• Conduct system validation, calibration, and functional testing according to specifications and standards.
• Support installation, setup, and acceptance testing at customer sites.
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams to address design or performance issues.
• Provide corrective actions and technical solutions at customer sites.

4. Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, coach, and develop engineering and production teams.
• Collaborate with procurement, QA, and supply chain teams.
• Act as the main technical point of contact between customers, internal engineering teams, and management.
• Provide technical training and knowledge transfer to team members and customers when required.
• Report performance metrics (KPIs) to top management.

5. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare detailed service reports, test results, failure analysis reports, and corrective action documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, spare parts usage, and test data.
• Provide feedback to R&D or production teams for product improvement.
• Maintain proper documentation for project or engineering records.

6. Customer, Safety & Compliance

• Communicate professionally with customers to explain technical issues, solutions, and recommendations.
• Ensure all site service work complies with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Support audits, inspections, and compliance requirements when required.
• Follow SOP, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at workstations (5S practice).
• Ensure compliance with company policies and production guidelines.

RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electronic testing, troubleshooting, or site service support.
• Proven experience handling on-site service or customer-facing technical roles.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, power electronics, control systems, and test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, etc.).
• Experience with system-level testing, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis.
• Familiar with test procedures, documentation, and quality standards.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Willing to travel and work on-site as required.

Working Conditions

• Site-based and field service role with travel to customer locations.
• May require flexible working hours depending on site requirements.

Job Type:

Salary:

· Min. RM4,000.00 per month (Based on experience)

Working Schedule:

· Monday to Friday

8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Alor Gajah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

• Bachelor's (Preferred)

Experience:

• TROUBLESHOOTING PCB: 3 years (Preferred)
• Management: 3 years (Preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 75% (Preferred)
