Mechanical Project Engineer About the Role

We are seeking a versatile Mechanical Project Engineer who combines strong mechanical design capabilities, hands-on assembly skills, and commercial awareness. In this role, you will bridge technical design, manufacturing feasibility, cost control, and client communication to deliver high-quality mechanical solutions that meet customer requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Client Technical Communication: Engage directly with clients to understand technical requirements, discuss engineering specifications, and propose robust mechanical solutions that meet their needs.
• Mechanical Design & Drafting: Produce accurate 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings, ensuring all technical documentation and Bills of Materials (BOM) are comprehensive and production-ready.
• Drawing Interpretation & GD&T: Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)—with a strong focus on positional tolerances, flatness, and runout—to ensure functional assembly and precision.
• DFM & Cost Optimization: Evaluate mechanical structures for Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and machining cost-efficiency, selecting appropriate manufacturing methods to balance quality and cost.
• Materials & Surface Treatment Selection: Recommend suitable engineering materials (metals, engineering plastics, alloys) and surface treatment processes (e.g., anodizing, heat treatment, hard chrome plating, powder coating).
• Hands-on Assembly & Testing: Assist in or lead prototype assembly, alignment, functional testing, and on-site troubleshooting for mechanical equipment and precision components.

What We’re Looking For

• Education: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Technical Literacy: Expert ability to read, interpret, and generate complex mechanical engineering drawings.
• GD&T Proficiency: Strong practical understanding of GD&T (especially positional tolerancing and its impact on machining and assembly).
• Machining & Cost Awareness: Practical familiarity with conventional and CNC machining processes (milling, turning, EDM, grinding) and an understanding of how design choices impact machining time and manufacturing costs.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer-facing skills; able to translate technical concepts clearly to both clients and internal production teams.
• Hands-on Capability: Proven hands-on assembly experience and problem-solving mindset.

• 公差与标准：深谙 GD&T 形位公差的应用规则，特别注重位置度公差对加工装配和加工费用的实际影响。
• 工艺与成本：懂机械加工机理，熟悉常见零件的加工路线和制造成本核算要素。
• 沟通能力：具备出色的跨部门沟通与客户现场技术服务能力，服务意识强。
