Job Description – Junior Project Engineer

Department: Engineering / Project Management

Location: Shah Alam, Selangor

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating and executing projects involving boilers, pressure vessels and mechanical systems.
• Support senior engineers in preparing project schedules, progress reports, technical documentation and material take-offs.
• Work with the design team to review drawings, specifications and fabrication details for accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with procurement, production, QA/QC and site teams to ensure smooth project workflow.
• Monitor project progress on-site and assist in resolving technical issues under guidance from senior engineers.
• Prepare meeting minutes, documentation and follow-up actions for internal and client meetings.
• Assist in inspection, testing and commissioning activities, including preparing relevant reports.
• Ensure all tasks comply with company procedures, safety standards and relevant codes/regulations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in project execution, fabrication or industrial engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of boilers, pressure vessels, piping systems or mechanical fabrication is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project environment
• Able to travel to site when required and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
