NRC Engineering Hiring! Full Time Construction Manager in Selangor - Ricebowl

Position Title: Construction Manager

Work Location: Peninsular Malaysia

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

1. Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion and manage/supervise day-to-day project activities to ensure projects are executed and on schedule.
2. Familiar with the Structural, Mechanical, Piping & E/I work and be able to read AFC Drawings, P&ID and any other configuration diagram.
3. Attend coordination and progress meetings; make regular trips to sites during construction including bid walks, preconstruction walks, in-progress site visits, punch walks, and construction closeout.
4. Responsible for liaison with Project team members, including contractors, sub-contractors, and authorities on all site matters.
5. To ensure the company’s resources, including equipment, manpower, materials, etc., are put to best use.
6. Plans ahead on construction material ordering, hiring machineries equipment and tools for site use.
7. Detailed understanding HSE regulations and construction standards and the value of an early risk identification and preventative action approach.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. At least 10 years working experience on hands-on construction management experience with proven track record
3. Fluent in spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other applicable software programs.
5. Competence in conflict and crisis management for effective problem resolution.
6. Strong awareness of safety regulations and practices in the construction industry.
7. Experience in leading and managing multiple projects within tight datelines
