About Our Client

Our client, an established global toy manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Engineering & Product Development Manager / Lead specializing in Soft Toys & Squishy products. This role bridges creative product concepts and mass manufacturing, leading end-to-end product development from initial prototyping, materials sourcing, and tooling through to full-scale factory production and supply chain optimization.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical authority in plush/soft toy manufacturing, combined with team leadership capabilities and solid vendor/factory management skills across Hong Kong and Mainland China.

• Oversee the development pipeline for soft toys and squishy product lines—managing prototype creation, mold development, material selection, and factory sourcing.

• Direct day-to-day operations of the engineering team, mentor technical staff, establish standard operating procedures, and hit departmental KPIs aligned with company objectives.

• Negotiate and manage vendor relationships, conduct detailed cost breakdowns and comparative analyses, track production schedules, and drive on-time delivery across internal teams, clients, and factories.

• Travel frequently to or station at manufacturing plants in China to oversee quality control, safety compliance, logistics execution, and production line maintenance.

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial) or a related technical discipline.

• 6 years or above hands-on experience in toy manufacturing; direct expertise in soft toys, plush, or squishy development is strongly preferred.

• Comprehensive understanding of factory operations, including tooling/molds, production processes, QA/QC standards, toy safety protocols, and logistics.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and team-mentoring skills with an independent, proactive work style
