Job Description

The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for performing daily Hong Kong Satellite Network Operation Center operational duties and delivering 24-hour roster-based VSAT fault resolution/Operation request
services and TV broadcasting service. This position ensures uninterrupted operations and high service levels forGlobal Service customers.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform 24/7 round the clock monitoring to ensure service levels are maintained for Global Service customers, guaranteeing customer satisfaction through performance oversight.
• Continuously monitor alarms and respond promptly to anomalies.

Service Support & Restoration

• Diagnose and resolve system faults (Fault Handling) to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Execute operational requests in accordance with established procedures.
• Update service period and comment for occasional TV / GTVN broadcasting service performed.
• Perform the daily routine jobs.
• Escalate issues to higher level support or management when required.
• Support Customer Operation / Change Request / Maintenance activity that coordinates with related party to conduct the customer request and provide promptly and periodically response.
• Perform pre-assigned tasks and other related duties as assigned to support overall NOC operations.

Compliance & Security

• Comply and act in accordance with PCCW Global Network Operation Center information security policy andPCCW Group policies on Personal Data Privacy.

Qualification/Skills

• Higher Certificate in Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or 5 subject passes in HKCEE (including English), or 5 subject passes in HKDSE (including English), with at least 6 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent practical experience in related fields.
• Solid knowledge of satellite equipment operations.
• Customer oriented, proactive, self-motivated, and able to perform effectively under pressure.
• Strong command of spoken and written English.
