Position : Senior Software Engineer (Backend)

Salary : RM 7,000 – RM 9,000

Location : Damansara Uptown

Working Days / Time : 8.30am – 5.30pm

Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer (Backend) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend systems using C# and the .NET/.NET Core framework. This role requires technical expertise, ownership of system components, and the ability to deliver reliable, secure, and maintainable solutions that support business-critical applications such as POS, ERP, and warehouse management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services, APIs, and Windows/web applications using C# and the .NET/.NET Core framework.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC): requirements analysis, system design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Enhance, optimize, and support existing enterprise systems, ensuring reliability, maintainability, and security.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide effective solutions promptly.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and functional specifications.
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and provide technical guidance to elevate team skills and code quality.
• Continuously evaluate and improve development processes, tools, and system performance to enhance productivity and reliability.
• Assist with ad hoc technical tasks and support production environments as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma, Advanced Diploma, Bachelor’s, or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in backend or full-stack development using C# and the .NET Framework/.NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, and related .NET technologies.
• Solid experience with Visual Studio and modern development tools.
• Strong understanding of backend architecture, software design patterns, and best coding practices.
• Proficient in database design and development, with strong SQL skills and experience optimizing queries.
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or SDLC.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or BitBucket.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently while taking full ownership of deliverables.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM9,000.00 per month
