Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement purchasing and procurement strategies.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage supplier agreements.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials and services to support business operations.
- Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage inventory levels and collaborate with relevant departments on material planning.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports, budgets, and KPIs for management review.
- Lead, coach, and develop the purchasing team.
- Work closely with Production, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of purchasing/procurement experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, strategic sourcing, and supplier management.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Good leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience in the manufacturing, electronics, or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and procurement compliance.
- Experience managing local and overseas suppliers.
- Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
