We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support technical review, project planning, and cost monitoring activities within a manufacturing environment. This role will act as a key liaison between Project, Production, and Quality teams to ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and in line with customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities1. Technical Review
- Analyze and review product technical requirements, specifications, and material grades upon receipt of purchase orders
- Ensure all technical details are aligned with customer and internal requirements
2. Project Planning & Coordination
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Procurement teams for smooth execution
- Monitor timelines and proactively highlight delays or risks
3. Costing & Monitoring
- Prepare project cost breakdowns (materials, labour, overhead)
- Track actual vs planned costs and identify variances
- Support cost optimization and efficiency initiatives
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare project status reports and updates
- Maintain proper records for costing, orders, and timelines
- Support audit and compliance documentation (ISO, customer audits, etc.)
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow and coordination
- Participate in process improvement and efficiency initiatives
RequirementsEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Industrial / Manufacturing or related field)
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or project coordination
- Fresh graduates with strong internship exposure may be considered
Skills & Competencies (Important)
- Basic knowledge of project management and production processes
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Good analytical skills, especially in costing and data tracking
- Well-organized with strong planning ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Added Advantage
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems
- Exposure to ISO / Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of production planning and scheduling
- Certification in PMP / Lean / Six Sigma (optional)
