Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and responsible Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on factory machinery, equipment, and facilities. The successful candidate will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently to support uninterrupted production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on factory machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify equipment defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Carry out installation, modification, and commissioning of machinery and equipment.
- Maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, and service logs.
- Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Coordinate with production personnel to minimise equipment downtime.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and report replacement requirements.
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and productivity.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the workshop and maintenance areas.
Requirements
- Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience in factory or industrial maintenance.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot machinery and perform repairs independently.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation systems is an added advantage.
- Able to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, or attend emergency breakdowns when required.
- Responsible, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial plants, or process facilities.
- Competency in welding, fabrication, or machining is an advantage.
- Possession of a valid Chargeman or Wireman certificate (where applicable) is an added advantage.
