Position : Senior Software Engineer (Back-End)

Salary : RM 7,000 – RM 9,000

Location : Imazium, Uptown Damansara

Working Hours : Monday - Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer (Back-End) to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems and applications using C# and the .NET/.NET Core ecosystem. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in backend development, system architecture, and database design, with the ability to build reliable services that power both web and desktop applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems, APIs, and services using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Build and support web applications and Windows-based systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services to support front-end and third-party integrations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Optimize application performance, including database queries, system processes, and API response times.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems such as POS, ERP, and warehouse management solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime and system stability.
• Implement secure coding practices, data protection, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce coding standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
• Write and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, APIs, and workflows.
• Support deployment processes, CI/CD pipelines, and environment configurations.
• Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in backend development using C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Entity Framework (or similar ORM tools).
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML data formats.
• Solid understanding of software architecture patterns such as layered architecture, microservices, or clean architecture.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) and writing optimized SQL queries.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment processes.
• Understanding of authentication and security practices (e.g., JWT, OAuth).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and documentation skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
