What impact will you make in this role?

As Vice President of End User Infrastructure Automation, you will lead the transformation of EUI from a reactive support function into a highly automated, self-healing, and observable digital workplace platform. You will be accountable for improving employee productivity, service stability, and operational efficiency by leveraging automation, telemetry, and modern release engineering practices across endpoints and user-facing services. Responsible for application packaging, modern device management and end-user service optimization through scripting and automation technologies.

What will you do as a VP, End User Infrastructure Automation Engineer?

Automation Strategy

Define, build and execute the enterprise End User Infrastructure automation strategy.
Establish outcome based KPIs tied to productivity, stability, and employee experience.
Own digital employee experience and endpoint reliability engineering.

Release Engineering & Test Automation

Own release engineering for endpoint operating systems, applications, configurations, and M365 services.
Design, deploy, and manage endpoint solutions
Manage device lifecycle including Provisioning, Compliance, Configuration, Security baselines, Patch management, Device retirement
Develop: Detection rules, Requirement rules, Dependency logic, Supersedence configurations
Design and implement standardized CI/CD-style pipelines for EUI releases using:
Progressive deployments (pilot, ring-based)
Automated health validation and rollback

Introduce test automation for end user services, including:
Application install and launch validation
OS and configuration compatibility testing
M365 service readiness and regression testing
Ensure releases are gated by real time health, performance, and experience telemetry.
Ensure compliance with organizational security and regulatory requirements.
Support vulnerability remediation and endpoint hardening initiatives.

Endpoint & Workspace Automation

Lead automation initiatives across endpoint management platforms such as:
Microsoft Intune
Nexthink
Standardize device configurations using configuration-as-code principles.
Reduce manual intervention through policy-driven automation and orchestration.

Microsoft 365 & Collaboration Automation

Automate lifecycle and governance for:
Exchange Online
SharePoint Online
OneDrive
Microsoft Teams

Implement automation for:
Tenant configuration drift detection
Secure configuration baselines
Data protection and retention policies

Self-Service & Self-Healing

Expand user-centric self-service capabilities integrated with enterprise portals and workflows.
Design and deploy machine-led self-healing for common endpoint and productivity issues.

Leverage tools such as Nexthink (or equivalent) to:
Detect experience degradation
Trigger automated remediation workflows
Establish runbooks-as-code that are safe, auditable, and reversible.
Self-service portal for provisioning user accounts, security groups, mailbox, DL, SharePoint lists, M365 licenses etc., for both non-prod and prod environments.

Observability & Stability Engineering

Establish unified observability across endpoints, applications, and user experience.
Leverage experience monitoring platforms (e.g., Nexthink) and telemetry from Intune and M365.
Drive proactive and predictive detection of issues using analytics and automation.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

Establish automation engineering standards, including code quality, change control, testing and validation.
Define automation guardrails, approval models, and lifecycle governance.
Ensure automation and telemetry comply with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Partner with Security and Risk teams to safely scale automation.
Drive a secure by design automation strategy across EUI.

What makes you a successful candidate?

Experience

10+ years of experience in End User Infrastructure Services, Digital Workplace, or IT Operations.
Proven leadership in large-scale automation, platform, or reliability transformations.
Experience operating in enterprise environments supporting multiple markets.
Demonstrated success influencing and leading across organizational boundaries.

Technical & Domain Expertise

Strong experience with Microsoft Intune, M365, Active Directory, Entra ID, and modern endpoint platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, to deliver low-code applications, self-service capabilities, and workflow automation at enterprise scale.
Solid experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including source control, environment strategy, solution and release management, and CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform and automation assets.
Strong experience with desktop application virtualization and packaging for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments such as Azure Virtual Desktop and Citrix, including App-V, MSIX and MSIX App Attach, and FSLogix profile management.
Proven experience establishing Application Lifecycle Management automation, frameworks, and processes — spanning solution packaging, version control, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and governance across the build, test, and release cycle.
Experience leveraging digital experience monitoring tools such as Nexthink or Systrack
