About the role

SUPERHERO ACADEMY is seeking a Special Needs Assistant Teacher on a contract basis to join our team in Bandar Rimbayu, Selangor. In this role, you will be responsible for providing tailored educational support and assistance to students with special needs, ensuring they receive the individualised care and attention required to thrive.

What you'll be doing

• Developing and implementing personalised learning plans for students with special educational needs
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, adapting teaching methods and materials to their specific requirements
• Collaborating with teachers, our Educational Psychologist and parents to monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement
• Assisting with the daily care and activities of students, such as feeding, toileting and mobility
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation on student progress and needs
• Participating in training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in special education

What we're looking for

• Relevant qualifications and experience in special education, such as a degree or diploma in Special Needs Education or a related field
• Demonstrated experience working with students with a range of special needs, including autism, intellectual disabilities, and physical/sensory impairments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and the wider school community
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively
• Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for making a difference in the lives of students with special needs

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
