About The Role
This is a contract position. The school may, at its discretion, extend the engagement for a further year up to 28 June 2028.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 7:00am – 4:30pm (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)
Key Responsibilities
Support inquiry-based and hands-on science learning activities across primary school levels
Manage and maintain two science laboratories, including the school garden and science learning corners
Assist teachers in preparing apparatus, materials, and equipment for science lessons, practical activities, and assessments
Source and procure laboratory equipment, materials, and consumables, while maintaining accurate inventory records
Ensure laboratory safety procedures and standards are adhered to at all times
Support logistics, setup, and supervision during science workshops, enrichment programmes, classes, and school events
Assist with the maintenance and organisation of laboratory resources and facilities
Provide administrative support and other duties as assigned by the school
Requirements
NITEC, GCE O-Level, Diploma, or equivalent qualification
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a laboratory technician, preferably in a primary or secondary school environment
Comfortable handling laboratory materials, chemicals, and live specimens (including insects) in a supervised setting
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting science programmes in an MOE school environment
Familiarity with laboratory safety procedures and first aid practices
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage inventory, procurement, and laboratory resources independently
