About the Role

We are looking for a Device Engineer – Android to join our engineering team and support the development and certification of Android devices for network testing solutions. You will work on enabling new smartphone support, optimizing device performance, and ensuring accurate LTE/5G network measurements across Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung, and other chipsets.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform Android device certification (TEMSification), including bootloader unlocking, Magisk patching, testing, and licensing.
• Develop and maintain Android modules using Java/Kotlin.
• Validate and certify Android devices for network testing solutions.
• Implement chipset-specific features for Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Samsung devices.
• Develop C++ components supporting device integration and testing.
• Analyze LTE/5G signaling, protocol behavior, and RF performance.
• Troubleshoot device-level measurement and performance issues.
• Support customer escalations related to device measurements and network performance.
• Maintain device qualification procedures and testing tools.
• Stay current with Android platform updates and emerging 3GPP standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience in Java/Kotlin Android Development.
• Experience with C#/.NET desktop application development.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills.
• Good understanding of LTE & 5G NR technologies.
• Experience with Android internals (Magisk, rooting, bootloader unlock, system access).
• Knowledge of 3GPP signaling protocols.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Qualcomm QXDM, Samsung Exynos, or MediaTek chipsets.
• Knowledge of TEMS, Nemo, or similar drive-test tools.
• Experience in network testing, optimization, or benchmarking.
• Android system engineering and custom ROM development.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Petaling Jaya
