Job Summary
The Account Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily accounting and financial operations of the company. This includes maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices and payments, assisting in month-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP)
- Process supplier invoices accurately and timely.
- Prepare payment vouchers, cheques, online banking payments and bank transfers.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain proper filing of payment documents and supporting records.
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Prepare customer invoices, debit notes and credit notes.
- Monitor customer collections and outstanding balances.
- Follow up on overdue payments with customers.
- Update customer payment records in the accounting system.
General Accounting
- Perform daily accounting data entry into the accounting system.
- Assist in preparing bank reconciliations.
- Maintain proper accounting records and documentation.
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing.
- Assist in preparing financial reports as required.
Cash & Banking
- Record daily receipts and payments.
- Monitor petty cash transactions.
- Assist in bank deposits and banking-related matters.
- Ensure all banking transactions are properly recorded.
Statutory & Compliance
- Assist in preparing documents for audit.
- Support statutory submissions when required.
- Maintain proper financial documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure accounting records comply with internal controls and accounting standards.
Administrative Support
- Maintain an organized filing system for accounting documents.
- Assist in preparing reports for management.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers and customers regarding finance matters.
- Perform general administrative duties related to the Finance Department.
Other Duties
- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Support Finance Department projects and process improvements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.
Pay: From RM2,200.00 per month
