Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Technician role based in Shah Alam. The Technician will support the operation and maintenance of highway infrastructure and related systems, including regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic repairs of mechanical, electrical, or civil components. Daily tasks may include monitoring equipment performance, responding to faults and breakdowns, assisting in troubleshooting and corrective actions, and ensuring that safety procedures and regulatory standards are followed. The role also involves documenting maintenance activities, coordinating with supervisors and other team members, and assisting contractors or vendors when required. The Technician will contribute to reliable highway operations and safe conditions for road users.
Qualifications
- Technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering disciplines, with the ability to perform hands-on maintenance and basic repairs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and standard operating procedures for infrastructure and equipment.
- Strong awareness of safety practices, regulatory requirements, and risk management in an operational environment.
- Effective problem-solving skills, including basic fault diagnosis and troubleshooting in field conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with supervisors, peers, and external partners.
- Willingness to work on-site, including rotating shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required for operational continuity.
- Minimum of a relevant technical certificate or diploma (e.g., engineering technology, maintenance, or related field); prior experience in infrastructure, facilities, or highway maintenance is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within project locations as needed.
