We are seeking an experienced Deputy Construction Manager (M&E) to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works for large-scale infrastructure and building projects. This role is ideal for a results-driven engineering professional with strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and monitor project schedules, network planning, and construction programmers.
- Review and manage Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) designs to ensure compliance with project requirements, engineering standards, and statutory regulations.
- Review design drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and method statements submitted by contractors.
- Provide value engineering solutions and technical recommendations to optimize project cost, quality, and constructability.
- Coordinate with consultants, architects, authorities, contractors, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Monitor subcontractor performance, work progress, quality, and compliance with project timelines.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, inspections, and system handovers.
- Ensure implementation of Health, Safety, Security & Environmental (HSSE) standards across project sites.
- Drive effective construction management through proper planning of methodology, manpower, machinery, and materials (4Ms).
- Mentor and lead project team members while fostering continuous technical and professional development.
- Perform additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) is preferred.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience in infrastructure, commercial, or building construction projects.
- Proven experience managing Mechanical & Electrical works for high-rise buildings, commercial developments, or similar large-scale projects.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methodologies, and engineering design.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of project management principles and engineering practices.
- Proficient in BIM software and relevant engineering design tools.
- Experienced in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent project scheduling software.
- Excellent knowledge of construction planning, testing & commissioning, and project execution.

Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
