About Assistant Contract Manager Role


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in contract administration within the construction industry.
  • Strong preference for candidates with extensive high-rise construction project experience, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
  • Proven experience in managing complex high-rise project contracts, variations, claims, and site coordination with consultants and contractors.
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., PAM, CIDB, JKR forms).
  • Solid understanding of contract law claims analysis, and project risk management.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Experience handling large-scale commercial, infrastructure, or high-rise projects will be an added advantage.


Job Description:

  • Ensure all contractual obligations are understood and met by both internal and external parties.
  • Maintain proper documentation of all contractual correspondence and changes.
  • Participate in tendering process: preparation of tender documents, contract conditions, and bid evaluations.
  • Evaluate and process claims for extension of time (EOT), loss and expense, and variations.
  • Identify contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare procurement schedule and budgeting, monitor material control and wastages
  • Work with QS and project team to monitor cost implications related to contractual changes.
  • Support in final account preparation and closing.
  • Liaise with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers
