Machinery Engineer Specialist III (2 Openings)

Location: Singapore Manufacturing Complex (Jurong Island / Pioneer Road)

We are looking for experienced Machinery Engineer Specialists to provide technical and engineering expertise for rotating and mechanical equipment across refinery and petrochemical operations within the Singapore Manufacturing Complex. The role focuses on maintaining equipment integrity, enhancing reliability, optimizing performance, and supporting safe plant operations through effective engineering solutions and maintenance strategies.

The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to resolve equipment issues, improve operational reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Safety, Health & Environmental Stewardship

• Uphold and champion all site safety, health, and environmental requirements.
• Promote a strong safety-first mindset within daily operations and project activities.

Engineering & Technical Support

• Deliver day-to-day engineering support for rotating and mechanical equipment.
• Investigate equipment issues, perform technical evaluations, and identify root causes of failures.

Reliability & Maintenance Improvement

• Provide engineering support during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance campaigns.
• Assist operations and maintenance teams during start-ups, shutdowns, inspections, and abnormal operating conditions.

Technical Leadership & Governance

• Serve as a subject matter expert for machinery and rotating equipment systems.
• Review project designs and engineering deliverables to ensure technical quality and compliance.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Project, and Technical Support teams to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Approximately 5 to 10 years of experience within refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, or similar industrial sectors.
• Proven experience supporting rotating machinery and mechanical systems in operating facilities.
• Demonstrated capability in equipment troubleshooting, reliability engineering, maintenance planning, and performance optimization.
