Position : Director

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Job Overview:
This role is responsible to provide strategic leadership for graduate employability, industry engagement, internship placement, and workforce training initiatives. The role is responsible for strengthening academia–industry partnerships, enhancing student career outcomes, and developing revenue-generating training programmes aligned with employer workforce needs.

This position integrates student employability strategy with professional and industry-focused learning solutions to support institutional growth, industry relevance, and sustainable revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graduate Employability & Career Development
    • Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive employability and career readiness programmes.
    • Develop structured frameworks to enhance students’ professional skills, career planning, and workplace competencies.
    • Track, analyse, and report graduate employment outcomes to inform continuous improvement strategies.
    • Drive initiatives that improve graduate marketability and institutional employability rankings.
  • Internship & Work-Integrated Learning
    • Lead the coordination, and placement of students in internships and industry-based learning opportunities.
    • Establish sustainable employer pipelines to secure quality placement opportunities.
    • Ensure structured employer engagement and monitoring mechanisms for internship effectiveness.
  • Industry Engagement & Strategic Partnerships
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international industry partners.
    • Facilitate career events, industry dialogues, employer engagement sessions, networking events, and industry visits.
    • Build long-term strategic partnerships supporting curriculum relevance, talent pipelines, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Workforce Training & Revenue-Generating Programmes
    • Identify employer workforce development needs and co-develop customised training solutions.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, competitor offerings, and new programme opportunities.
    • Lead the design and implementation of professional development and corporate training programmes.
    • Develop revenue-generating initiatives aligned with institutional growth strategies.
  • Grants, Funding & Compliance
    • Identify and secure grants, partnerships, and funding sources to support training and development initiatives.
    • Manage and optimise utilisation of HRDC (Human Resources Development Corporation) funding and ensure compliance with eTRIS requirements.
    • Oversee budget planning and financial performance of training and employability initiatives.
  • Academia–Industry Collaboration
    • Work closely with faculties to integrate employer feedback into curriculum design and skills development.
    • Promote collaborative industry projects, applied research, guest lectures, and joint initiatives.
    • Align training and employability frameworks with industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Marketing & Promotion
    • Develop and execute marketing strategies for career programmes and professional training initiatives.
    • Produce promotional materials and leverage digital marketing platforms to enhance programme visibility.
    • Position the institution as a preferred talent and training partner for industry.
  • Programme Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor programme effectiveness through employer feedback, participant satisfaction, and performance metrics.
    • Implement data-driven improvements to enhance student outcomes and training quality.
    • Prepare regular performance and revenue reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Lead and develop a high-performing team across career services and learning development functions.
    • Manage departmental resources, budgets, KPIs, and operational planning.
    • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and service excellence.

Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s degree preferred (Education, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field).
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in career services, workforce development, training programme management, or higher education leadership.
  • Proven track record in graduate employability initiatives, internship placement management, industry partnership development, revenue-generating training programmes.

Position: Assistant Manager (Language Centre)
Job descriptions:

Student Recruitment:

  • Visits schools, speaks to groups and individual students, meets with school counselors, administrators to promote the language programmes.
  • Take a lead on marketing activities to ensure high enrolment rate.
  • Collaborate with the various division to enhance recruitment strategies.
  • Systematically gather market and competitor intelligence and conduct market research, disseminating findings.

Income and Budget:

  • Closely monitor the income of the Language Centre.
  • Develop plans to drive revenue growth of the Language Centre.
  • Maximise profitability of the language programmes through effective use of resources, improving efficiency on delivery, close monitoring of expenses and any other measures to ensure the centre is always profitable.

Program Design and Implementation:

  • Work with the faculty to design engaging and effective training curricula that align with clients’ needs and industry standards.
  • Oversee the implementation of training programs, ensuring high-quality delivery and participant satisfaction.

Management of Records:

  • To assume administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain an up to date record of the student enrolment and admissions process.
  • Prepares P&L reports for the centre, proposals regarding recruitment, records of classes schedule, and outreach activities and responds to inquiries from students and network.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develops, coordinates and delivers outreach programs and marketing strategies, including community workshops, retreats, and related recruitment efforts; arranges visits and tours for prospective students and parents.
  • Participates in and/or organizes and implements events to continuously brand the Centre.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback and performance metrics.
  • Continuously improve training offerings based on evaluation results and changing clients’ needs.
  • Any other duties as assigned by immediate superior.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
