Develop and control the overall project master schedule, resource plan, cost control mechanism and cash flow projection in accordance with EPCC contractual obligations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the execution of the Large Scale Solar (LSS) PV project from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through commissioning, grid interconnection and Commercial Operation Date (COD), ensuring delivery within approved timeline, budget and quality standards.
Develop and control the overall project master schedule, resource plan, cost control mechanism and cash flow projection in accordance with EPCC contractual obligations.
Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, grid interconnection and commissioning teams to ensure seamless execution of civil, structural, mechanical and electrical works including MV/HV systems and substation interface.
Manage project contractual matters including risk assessment, variation orders, claims, delay analysis and mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements including local authority approvals, environmental requirements, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), TNB interconnection requirements and other relevant authorities.
Monitor project progress against baseline schedule; track key milestones including procurement delivery, site mobilization, installation progress, testing & commissioning and energization.
Chair project progress meetings with client, consultants, contractors and stakeholders; prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports.
Implement QA/QC procedures to ensure all works comply with project specifications, contract requirements and industry standards.
Ensure strict compliance with EHS&S policies and drive zero-LTI target throughout project execution.
Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, site supervision, cost control and timely resolution of technical and project related issues.
Manage project documentation, as-built drawings, O&M manuals and final handover documentation.
Requirements
Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Solar Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
Candidate must have a minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in utility-scale solar PV or power plant projects, preferably Large Scale Solar (LSS) projects above 50 MWp.
Candidate must possess knowledge and experience in 132 kV transmission systems and grid interconnection requirements.
Candidate must have strong technical knowledge of large-scale PV systems, DC and AC systems, inverters, MV/HV systems, substations, and grid integration.
Candidate must have experience managing EPCC contracts and be familiar with TNB, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST), and local authority approval processes.
Candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective coordination of large-scale projects.
Candidate must be self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet project milestones and Commercial Operation Date (COD) targets.
Candidate must be willing to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines.
Candidate must be proficient in PVSyst, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and other relevant project management tools.
Candidate should be familiar with SCADA systems, fieldbus systems, and industrial communication protocols, including Modbus and TCP/IP.
