Software Quality Assurance Tester

Result-driven QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and automated testing, with the ability to build and maintain automated test suites and apply AI tools to accelerate testing work.

Job Description

·       Analyze users' stories and requirements for validity and feasibility.

·       Write systematic test cases, test data and test requirements to be used during the test phases.

·       Write automated tests using tools like Selenium, Playwright or Cypress.

·       Build and maintain automated API tests, validating endpoints, response schemas, authentication and error handling.

·       Design and implement regression, integration and functional tests.

·       Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines so tests run on every build, and maintain suite health by investigating failures and eliminating flaky tests.

·       Perform cross-browser and standard compliance testing.

·       Use AI tools to accelerate testing work. Generating test case drafts and test data, converting requirements into test scenarios, assisting with automated test scripting, reviewing requirements for missing scenarios and speeding up defect triage while independently verifying all AI-generated output before use.

·       Detect, track and document software defects and inconsistencies.

·       Document and maintain user manuals.

·       Apply quality engineering principals throughout the Agile product lifecycle.

·       Keep up with the latest testing tools, protocols, standard and automation frameworks.

·       Ensure all new features/modules meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.

Requirements (Qualification and Experience)

·       Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or Degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.

·       At least one year experience as a software tester, including hands-on experience writing and maintaining automated tests.

·       Proficient in either Java or Python programming language.

·       Have some knowledge or experience in scripting.

·       Practical experience with at least one test automation framework (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or equivalent), including locators, waits and test data setup.

·       Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured or similar.

·       Working knowledge of SQL for verifying and preparing test data.

·       Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts.

·       Practical experience using AI tools in a testing workflow, with a clear understanding of their limitations and the need to validate their output.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Proper Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle.

·       Experience in constructing systematic test cases and reports.

·       Highly analytical and detail-oriented.

·       Possess an aptitude for ongoing learning and ability to develop skill sets.

·       Good time-management skills.

·       Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.

·       Must be flexible and able to work independently or with others depending on project needs.
