We are seeking 30 L1 Network / Data Centre Engineers to join our team for an immediate deployment at a premier data center facility in Singapore. This is a high-volume, fast-paced project ideal for motivated professionals looking to deepen their hands-on experience in enterprise-level infrastructure.
This is a Freelance B2B engagement. Onboarding is immediate upon successful candidate selection and Background Verification (BGV) clearance.
Key Responsibilities
Physical Smart Hands Support: Perform hardware installations, including rack-and-stack of servers, switches, and routers.
Cabling & Patching: Execute structured cabling tasks (fiber and copper), including routing, patching, labeling, and organizing cables according to data center standards.
Monitoring & First-Level Support: Monitor network alerts and environmental controls, performing basic first-level troubleshooting for connectivity and hardware issues.
Asset & Inventory Management: Assist with receiving, unboxing, tracking, and documenting physical IT assets within the data center.
Collaboration & Escalation: Work closely with remote L2/L3 engineering teams and project managers to facilitate seamless deployments and escalate complex issues promptly.
Compliance & Security: Strictly adhere to data center safety regulations, operational standard operating procedures (SOPs), and rigorous physical security protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
Work Authorization: Must possess a valid, pre-existing Singapore work permit or work authorization. We are unable to sponsor visas for this freelance/B2B role.
Experience: Hands-on experience or formal training in data center operations, IT support, or network engineering.
Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and data center physical infrastructure.
Physical Capability: Ability to work on-site in a data center environment, handle physical equipment safely, and adapt to shift schedules if required.
Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to follow precise technical documentation.
Prerequisite: Selection is contingent upon clean results from a mandatory Background Verification (BGV) process.
Compensation & Project Details
Openings: 30 headcount
Compensation: An agreed gross monthly salary will be paid directly via the B2B framework (details to be finalized during the interview stage).
Duration: 6 months to 1 year contract
Start Date: Immediate (subject to BGV)
