Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Application Engineer position based at Centripac Sdn Bhd, located in Eco Botanic, Iskandar Puteri, Johor, Malaysia. The Application Engineer will support the selection and application of pumps and industrial fans, including reviewing client specifications, performing sizing and technical calculations, and preparing proposals and technical documentation. The role involves providing pre- and post-sales technical support, coordinating with internal teams and manufacturers, and assisting in package design, testing, and commissioning activities. The Application Engineer will collaborate closely with sales and project teams to ensure solutions meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements, and may participate in site visits to diagnose issues and recommend corrective actions. Daily responsibilities include responding to customer inquiries, updating project records, and contributing to continuous improvement of application standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to pump and fan applications.
• Experience in Technical Support, including troubleshooting, customer communication, and resolution of application or operational issues.
• Exposure to Testing of equipment or systems, such as performance testing, acceptance testing, and documentation of test results.
• Background or familiarity with Software Development or engineering-related software tools (e.g., sizing, CAD, or simulation) is an advantage.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
• Willingness to work on-site, attend customer visits, and support field activities when required.
