We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Assistant / Accounts Executive to support our Finance Department in the day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and effective support for month-end and audit activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, credit notes, and statements of account.
- Record and reconcile payments received via bank transfers, credit cards, and online payment platforms.
- Process supplier invoices, staff reimbursement claims, trainer invoices, and payment requests.
- Perform bank and payment platform reconciliations.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records using Xero accounting software.
- Assist with month-end closing, audit schedules, and preparation of supporting documents.
- Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders on billing and payment matters.
- Support other finance and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma, Higher Nitec, LCCI, or other relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience is preferred.
- Fresh graduates with relevant accounting qualifications are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and bank reconciliations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with accounting data.
- Experience with Xero or other accounting software will be an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet monthly reporting deadlines.
- Willing to learn, take initiative, and work independently with appropriate guidance.
