Analyst – Operations (6‑Month Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Analyst to join my client, investment bank's Operations team on a 6 month contract. This role offers exposure to credit derivatives, trade lifecycle management, and operational risk control, working closely with Sales, Trading, and Technology teams in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with clients, Sales/Trading desks, and stakeholders to resolve trade‑related queries and issues.
• Monitor and control operational risk throughout the trade processing lifecycle for Structured and Flow Credit Derivatives.
• Act as a subject matter expert to identify opportunities for risk mitigation and efficiency improvements.
• Manage real‑time trade booking exceptions between the trading desk and sales force.
• Collaborate with Technology and Business partners to enhance systems, workflows, and automation.
• Participate in industry and regulatory initiatives, adapting to a constantly evolving environment.
• Continuously review and refine processes to ensure timeliness, quality, and cost‑effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in the related discipline
• Proactive, enthusiastic, and detail‑oriented approach.
• Strong ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Highly collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective problem‑solving and critical thinking abilities, with sound judgment and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of credit derivatives and familiarity with the current regulatory landscape.
• 2–5 years of experience in Finance or a related field.
• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel; ability to quickly learn new systems.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm, initiative, and team orientation.
• Subject to further extension of contract
