Role Description The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya, responsible for overseeing the full HR lifecycle and supporting organizational growth. This role manages recruitment and onboarding processes, including workforce planning, job posting, screening, interviewing, and new hire orientation. The Human Resources Manager administers compensation and benefits, maintains HR policies and employee records, and ensures compliance with Malaysian labor laws and company standards. They handle employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary procedures, while supporting training, development, and engagement initiatives. The role also involves partnering with leadership on HR strategy, driving continuous improvement in HR processes, and serving as a trusted point of contact for employees across the organization.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in recruitment and talent acquisition, including job design, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Strong capabilities in employee relations, performance management, conflict resolution, and handling disciplinary matters fairly and consistently.
- Proficiency in HR operations such as HR policy development, HRIS usage, personnel records management, and benefits and payroll coordination.
- Sound knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labor regulations, and best practices in workplace compliance and safety.
- Ability to design and support training, development, and organizational development initiatives that strengthen capability and engagement.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field; professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, MIHRM) are an advantage.
- Relevant experience in an HR managerial role, preferably in engineering, telecommunications, or project-based environments.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with HR software systems; ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya.
