Role Description The Full Professor role is a full-time, on-site position based at INTI International University’s campus in Ipoh. The individual in this role will lead teaching and curriculum development within their discipline, deliver lectures and tutorials, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research, and provide academic advising to students. The Full Professor will be expected to conduct and publish high-quality research, secure research funding where possible, and contribute to the university’s scholarly reputation. Day-to-day responsibilities include participating in faculty governance, mentoring junior academic staff, engaging with industry and community partners, and supporting initiatives that enhance student outcomes and align with the university’s strategic priorities.
Qualifications
- Earned PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant discipline, with a strong record of teaching and research at professorial or equivalent level.
- Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching, curriculum design, and the use of innovative, learner-centered pedagogies.
- Established research portfolio with peer-reviewed publications, evidence of impact, and experience in supervising postgraduate research students.
- Experience in academic leadership, mentoring early-career academics, and contributing to departmental or faculty administration.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across faculties such as Business, Communications, IT, Engineering, Health and Life Sciences, and Education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, gender-neutral, and non-discriminatory educational practices.
- Experience building industry linkages, engaging in community outreach, and supporting initiatives related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with Malaysian higher education standards and accreditation processes, or willingness to quickly adapt to local regulatory requirements.
